Chapter 1 - War

Ajax sits down on his couch in his apartment and turns on his flat screen and turns the channel to the news.
An announcer starts to speak. "46 Years after the discovery of the new planet which they now call VR-12, a conflict has started between the two races. Their planets are running out of room for the citizens to live on and the two planets are becoming giant cities! Luckily the humans have found a new solar system."
"Hey Hinge, you might want to see this," says Ajax.
"What is it?" Hinge replies.
"The government found a new solar system!"
"What! Tell me your kidding"
The broadcast continues: "They are calling it M102. Amazingly all of the planets in the solar system are life supporting. We may see some more new discoveries along the lines of plants, materials, and even new alien life."
Ajax turns off the flat screen. "Whoa... how does our government keep finding all of these planets?"
"Well, I heard that they have a telescope in space that's as big as the moon that is constantly orbiting the Earth," Hinge says.
"Hmmm, interesting," Ajax says.

"It's weird how we're in the military and we haven't heard anything about this,"
Ajax turns the TV back on.

"And you can get it for just $19.99! Buy it now!" the commercial says.
"We interrupt this program to bring you breaking news!"
"Oh gosh, what is it now," Hinge says.
The broadcast continues: "The two planets are now in a conflict over who gets what land. There have been multiple attacks on the humans, most not bad, but if they continue, the military will be forced to start a war!" the broadcast ends and regular shows come back on.
"And if you call now we will DOUBLE THE OFFER!" the TV continues.
"Turn off the TV. I hate this commercial," Hinge says. Ajax turns off the TV and yawns.
"I'm tired I'm going to bed,"
"Okay see ya," Hinge replies.
Ajax climbs into his bed and falls asleep.

Ajax wakes up to screaming and shouting. He looks out his window and it was dark. All of a sudden a group of missiles fire from a near by space fighter. The red glow illuminates the city as the rockets fly through the air. BOOM! They hit something big and dark in the sky.
What was it, Ajax thought.
A laser fires from the dark object and it hits a building. BOOM! The building explodes, sending debris everywhere. In the brief moment that the explosion detonated, he saw what the object was. It was a space cruiser marked with the Bausec (alien) insignia.
"HINGE!" he shouts.
"I know," Hinge replies, "lets get out of here!"

In about 30 minutes they where at the military base.

When they arrive the roof was on fire and the doors were busted in.
"Hey Ajax, look a radio,"Go turn it on, I'll see if there's anyone here,"
Ajax turns on the radio on and turns it to the news.

The radio was losing signal, but he was able to make it out.
Bausec...attacking...get under cover..humans...war!
Hinge returned with 3 other marines.
Ajax says "Hinge... were at war,"
